Originally constructed in 1924, the Book-Cadillac was Detroit’s tallest building and the tallest hotel in the world at the time. The property underwent a redevelopment plan in 2006 and opened as The Westin Book Cadillac in 2008. The new ownership plans to renovate the hotel improving common areas, amenities, and guest rooms. The Book Cadillac remains one of the best-known hotels in Detroit.
