Belle Tire rolls out plans to expand dealership network

On the heels of purchasing its sole remaining franchise, Belle Tire Distributors has five new dealerships in the works in Michigan and Indiana as part of a larger plan to expand its dealership network.

In Michigan, the Allen Park-based tire retailer is constructing a new location in Northville in the Northridge Grove Shopping Center at Eight Mile and Haggerty roads that’s expected to open in August.

It also has a store under construction in Michigan City, Ind., two more in Fort Wayne, Ind., and plans to break ground on a third there next summer, said Belle Tire President Don Barnes III.

He declined to say what the company, which has about $350 million in annual gross revenue, is investing to expand its current network of 94 stores across Michigan, northern Ohio and Indiana.
